What are cloud accounting services?

Cloud accounting services are provided by an outside accountant using software that is hosted in the cloud. The cloud accountant performs accounting functions for their client remotely, using the internet.

What’s the difference between cloud accounting software and traditional accounting software?

The difference is where the software is installed and how it is accessed. Unlike in a traditional environment where the you purchase and install QuickBooks software on your local PC or server, in our cloud environment QuickBooks is hosted on a remote server, and you access the QuickBooks program and your data file using the internet.

What does cloud accounting cost?

Your business is as special and unique as you are. That’s why we don’t offer pre-packaged, one-size fits all solutions. What we do offer is affordable, customized solutions that will integrate perfectly and meet your unique needs.

What software do you use?

We use QuickBooks, hosted in the cloud. We choose to use the desktop version rather than QuickBooks online because the desktop version is more full featured. We also use several third party apps that integrate with QuickBooks, such as and Spring Ahead.

Do you use Xero?

No. Although Xero has grown in popularity in recent years, and we have tested the software, QuickBooks remains our software of choice.

Are you QuickBooks certified?

Yes, and all new staff members are required to obtain their QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification within six months of hire.

Are you CPA’s?

Yes, the company’s president, Tracy Soulsby, is a CPA.

How do I access/login to my QuickBooks data file?

Clients access their QuickBooks data file via a secure portal.

Can I access my accounts on my smartphone or tablet?

Yes. Your account is accessible using PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices.

Is my company’s data file secure in the cloud?

Yes. We use SageNext Infotech for QuickBooks hosting. More info about their security protocols can be found here.

What if I change my mind later? How do I get my data file?

You may create and save a backup of your QuickBooks file at any time. If you should later change your mind, we will also provide you with a backup of your QuickBooks data file.

Are you located in the US?

Yes, we are 100% US-based.
